The Sangiovese Soldera IGP 2020 from Case Basse is an extraordinary wine that embodies the essence of Tuscan winemaking artistry. The Case Basse estate, founded in the early 1970s by Gianfranco and Graziella Soldera, is located in the southwestern region of Montalcino and spans over 23 hectares at an altitude of 320 meters. The vineyards benefit from a unique terroir with volcanic soil rich in minerals and a dry climate with abundant sunshine.
The 2020 vintage continues the tradition of excellent Sangiovese wines known for their depth, complexity, and elegance. Previous vintages were characterized by a deep ruby red color and a complex bouquet of ripe red fruits, floral notes, and subtle spices. On the palate, they offered a harmonious balance of vibrant acidity, fine tannins, and impressive length. The meticulous handcrafting in the vineyard and minimal intervention in the cellar are reflected in the purity and elegance of these wines.
