The vineyards are located between 550 and 950 metres above sea level, in sunny sites around Völser Aicha at the foot of the Schlern and Rosengarten mountain ranges. These high-altitude vineyards play a defining role in the wines’ character: warm days and cool Alpine nights allow the grapes to ripen slowly, preserving freshness, aromatic intensity and balance. The soils, shaped by moraine deposits and Bolzano quartz porphyry, add further minerality and depth.
Prackfol focuses on a carefully selected range of grape varieties that are particularly well suited to the local conditions. The winery is especially known for Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Blanc, which are among its signature wines. The portfolio is complemented by Chardonnay, Vernatsch and Pinot Noir, all crafted with a strong sense of place and precision. Thanks to the altitude, the wines are often marked by freshness, elegance and a clear Alpine character.
At the heart of Prackfol’s philosophy are manual vineyard work, careful grape selection and respect for the terroir. Each wine is made to authentically reflect the landscape and identity of the region around Völs am Schlern, resulting in elegant South Tyrolean wines with a strong connection to their origin.
