Le Salette

Amarone & Valpolicella Classico

Le Salette Winery is among the historic producers of Valpolicella Classica in Veneto and is known for authentic red wines that reflect terroir, tradition and regional character. The winery is located in Fumane, in the heart of the historic Valpolicella area northwest of Verona, one of Italy’s most renowned wine regions for wines such as Amarone della Valpolicella, Ripasso and Valpolicella Classico.

The history of Le Salette is rooted in a long-standing family tradition. Today, the winery combines traditional winemaking with modern precision to fully express the character of the region. Particular attention is given to vineyard work, careful grape selection and the preservation of Veneto’s indigenous grape varieties.

The vineyards are located on the hillsides of Valpolicella Classica, where limestone-rich soils, excellent sun exposure and cool air currents from the nearby foothills create ideal conditions for refined and structured red wines. Especially for Amarone della Valpolicella, the traditional grape drying process adds concentration, aromatic depth and ageing potential. Le Salette mainly works with traditional grape varieties such as Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and partly Molinara. These indigenous grapes shape the unmistakable style of the region and form the basis for expressive Amarone della Valpolicella, elegant Valpolicella Classico DOC and complex Ripasso della Valpolicella Superiore wines.
