Rosa del Golfo

Rosa del Golfo is one of Apulia’s most renowned wineries and has stood for characterful wines from Salento for decades. The family-run estate is located near Gallipoli, where the Mediterranean climate, warm sunny days and cooling sea breezes create ideal conditions for viticulture. Proximity to the sea and limestone-clay soils give the wines freshness, structure and a distinctive regional identity. The winery is especially known for its elegant rosé wines, which are among the estate’s signature styles.

In particular, the Rosato del Salento enjoys an excellent reputation far beyond Apulia. With its freshness, delicate fruit and balance, it perfectly reflects the Mediterranean character of Salento and is considered one of Southern Italy’s most appreciated rosé wines. Special bottlings such as Rosato “Vigna Mazzì” and the modern Rosato “Hype” further showcase the winery’s expertise in rosé production. Alongside rosé wines, Primitivo plays an important role in the portfolio. “Il Primitivo” offers ripe fruit, smooth tannins and gentle spice, expressing the warm character of Apulia. Another key grape variety is Negroamaro, one of Salento’s most historic native grapes. Wines such as Negroamaro “Scaliere” combine dark fruit, spice and depth, reflecting the region’s rich winemaking heritage.

For lovers of powerful reds, Rosa del Golfo also produces iconic wines such as “Quarantale Riserva Mino Calò”, appreciated for its complexity and ageing potential. The range is complemented by elegant sparkling wines such as Brut Rosé, highlighting the winery’s expertise with rosé styles.
