From the stony quartz phyllite soils, located on steep southeast-facing slopes between 550 and 680 meters, a remarkable creation emerges: the Viel Anders Orange IGT 2020 from the family-run Röck winery.
This unique cuvée, composed of Gewürztraminer and Sylvaner, becomes a symbol of the village of Villanders and its commitment to natural winemaking.
The grapes for this extraordinary wine were hand-harvested on September 18, 2020, followed by spontaneous skin fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Through malolactic fermentation and 20 months of aging in a large, first-fill oak barrel, the wine has developed its distinctive personality.
With a total sulfur content of approximately 40 mg/l, the wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered, preserving its natural authenticity.
The Viel Anders Orange IGT 2021 is a testament to a deep connection with nature and a passion for traditional winemaking.
