The 99 S.ALT BIO from Weingut Thomas Niedermayr is a remarkable wine that shows its uniqueness through its production and character. The grapes for this wine come from the plot below the Gantberg, where Thomas's father Rudi Niedermayr planted the first Solaris vines in Italy in 1999. This organic wine goes through a 3-day maceration followed by a gentle pressing. Spontaneous fermentation is carried out by the vineyard's own yeasts, and the wine first matures in neutral 1000-liter wooden barrels before being transferred to steel barrels after 21 months.
On the nose, the 99 S.ALT BIO seduces with aromas of dried apricots, ripe yellow fruits and subtle nutty nuances. On the palate, it has a delicate texture and a strong, mineral body.
Its straw yellow color with greenish reflections gives an idea of its freshness and reflects the lively nature of the wine.
The specialty of this wine lies not only in its organic production, but also in its origin and unique character. The combination of Solaris vines and traditional winemaking methods gives it an unmistakable personality. Careful handwork and the striving for the highest quality are typical of this wine and the wine-growing region.
The Thomas Niedermayr winery is characterized by its philosophy of quality, authenticity and tradition. The sustainable management of the vineyards and the traditional production methods are reflected in every sip of 99 S.ALT BIO, which not only delights the palate but also conveys the story and passion behind every drop.
