The Pinot Blanc DOC “Wir müssen Künstler sein” 2022 from Weingut Andi Sölva is a remarkable white wine that impresses with its clear, straw-yellow color. On the nose, refreshing aromas of apple, citrus, herbs, hay and a hint of minerality develop, rounded off by a subtle note of mint. On the palate, the wine is dry and slightly warming, with a soft, round texture, an animating acidity and a powerful

This wine is made from the Pinot Blanc grape variety, which is known for its elegant acidity and fine fruit aromas. The grapes grow on calcareous gravel soils with a high clay content in the areas around Kaltern, South Tyrol. These soils and the region's specific microclimate, characterized by strong temperature fluctuations between day and night, contribute significantly to the quality and characteristic taste of the wine

A special feature of this wine is its vinification. After a gentle pressing, the must is partly aged in large wooden barrels and barriques, which gives the wine additional depth and complexity. The name “We must be artists” reflects the winery's philosophy, which is based on craftsmanship and a passion for viticulture. The wine label shows a historic photo of the cellar team at Neue Kellerei Kaltern from the 1950s, when pioneering work was carried out in South Tyrolean

viticulture.
