The Vernatsch DOC Rönigberg BIO 2022 by Alois Lageder is a remarkable wine that perfectly reflects the tradition and terroir of South Tyrol. Made from the autochthonous Vernatsch grape variety (also known as Schiava), this wine shows the typical characteristics of this grape, which formed the backbone of South Tyrolean viticulture until the 1970s. The vines grow on steep, gravelly dolomite limestone soils near Lake Kaltern, at altitudes of 250 to 330 meters above sea level
