The Al Passo del Leone Rot IGT BIO 2021 by Alois Lageder impresses with its cherry red color with ruby red reflections. The bouquet is fruity with notes of cherry and berries as well as a fine spice. On the palate, it is medium-weight, with fresh tannins and a pleasant acid structure, which give it
depth and character.This wine consists of a blend of different grape varieties, which come from biodynamically managed vineyards in South Tyrol. The varieties used include Lagrein and Merlot, which grow in the gravelly, highly calcareous soils around Margreid at an altitude of 230 to 320 meters. The climate in this region is characterized by warm days and cool nights, which helps the grapes to develop their aromas intensively and maintain a balanced acidity.
