The Conero Riserva DOCG Sassi Neri 2019 from Le Terrazze is an outstanding wine made exclusively from Montepulciano grapes. Montepulciano is a noble grape variety known for its intense aromas and strong tannins. These grapes grow particularly well in the calcareous soils and Mediterranean climate of the Conero area, giving them exceptional complexity

and depth.

This wine is deep ruby red. On the nose, intense aromas of ripe black cherries, plums and blackberries develop, complemented by notes of leather, tobacco and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, Sassi Neri is powerful and complex, with well-integrated tannins and a harmonious balance between fruit and wood. The aftertaste is long and elegant, with a persistent, spicy

aftertaste.

The term “riserva” means that the wine has undergone a longer aging period. For Sassi Neri, this includes 12 months of aging in barriques, followed by a further 6 months in large oak barrels and at least 18 months of bottle aging. This extended aging gives the wine its particular depth and complexity
