The Toskana Rot IGT Capatosta - 2019 from Poggio Argentiera is also an impressive red wine from Tuscany, made from the Sangiovese and Alicante grape varieties. This vintage is characterised by its brilliant ruby red colour with slightly brightened edges that underline the visual depth of the wine.
The aroma of the 2019 vintage is intense and inviting, characterized by ripe amarena cherries and pickled plums, accompanied by a fine chocolate note in the aftertaste. This combination of scents results in a rich and complex bouquet. On the palate, the wine reveals a rich and juicy texture, which is complemented by well-integrated tannins and distinctive acidity, resulting in a
somewhat drying finish. While the 2020 vintage impresses with its strong structure and slightly salty finish, the 2019 vintage offers a slightly gentler tannin structure and a more nuanced fruit acid, which gives it a unique balance. Both vintages reflect the high quality and characteristic profile that makes Tenuta Argentiera wines so special.
