The Lagrein DOC 2022 from Ansitz Waldgries is a characterful red wine from South Tyrol that embodies the typical traits of the indigenous Lagrein grape. In the glass, it displays a deep purple hue with violet reflections. The bouquet reveals intense aromas of dark forest berries, chocolate notes, and a sweetish hint of the alpine Prunella flower, complemented by elegant herbal nuances. On the palate, the wine offers a dense, full texture, accompanied by persistent, elegant acidity and velvety tannins. This Lagrein pairs excellently with braised and roasted red meats, game dishes, and strong cheeses. With an alcohol content of 13.5% vol. and an aging potential of over five years, it promises a special tasting experience in the future.​
