Chardonnay DOC 2023 from Alois Lageder is an outstanding wine that reflects the elegance and quality of viticulture in South Tyrol. The climate of this region is characterized by warm days and cool nights, which helps the grapes develop lively acidity and complex aromas.
The wine has a brilliant, clear, straw-yellow colour with a green tinge. The scent develops a delicate, distinctive bouquet with fresh, fruity notes of peach, melon and citrus fruits, accompanied by floral and mineral accents. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, well-balanced, fruity and juicy, with
a dry finish. The Chardonnay vine was introduced to South Tyrol in 1835 by Archduke Johann and has since developed into one of the most important grape varieties in the region. Alois Lageder uses biodynamic farming practices to promote the natural diversity and health of the vineyards, which is reflected in the high quality and purity of the wine.
