The Alois Lageder Pinot Grigio DOC 2023 comes in a brilliant, clear straw yellow with a touch of green. The scent is delicate and expressive, characterized by fruity notes such as peach and melon, accompanied by exotic spices and mineral undertones. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, rich in aromas, fruity, spicy and fresh, with
a dry finish.The grape variety for this wine is 100% Pinot Grigio, also known as Pinot Gris or Pinot Gris. This grape variety grows particularly well in the calcareous, sandy and gravelly soils of the growing areas around Magrè and Salorno in South Tyrol. The Mediterranean climate with its warm days and cool nights contributes to optimal ripening of the grapes
.A special feature of Pinot Grigio by Alois Lageder is the biodynamic management of the vineyards. The wine is fermented partly spontaneously in stainless steel tanks and partly in wooden barrels and then matures on the fine lees for about four months. This gives the wine its complex aromas and fine structure.
The harvest takes place from the end of August to the beginning of September, which underlines the freshness and liveliness of the wine.
