Der Héritage "An 1189" Pic Saint Loup 2019 von Gérard Bertrand präsentiert sich in tiefem Rubinrot. Das Bouquet offenbart intensive Aromen von reifen Brombeeren, schwarzen Johannisbeeren und Himbeeren, untermalt von würzigen Noten wie Thymian und dezenten erdigen Nuancen. Am Gaumen zeigt er sich vollmundig mit eleganten Tanninen, einer ausgewogenen Säure und einem langen, harmonischen Abgang.

Dieser Wein besteht hauptsächlich aus den Rebsorten Syrah, Grenache und Mourvèdre, die typisch für die Region Languedoc sind. Syrah bringt würzige und pfeffrige Noten, Grenache fügt rote Fruchtaromen hinzu, und Mourvèdre verleiht dem Wein Struktur und Tiefe. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die traditionelle Vinifikation, bei der ein Teil des Weins (etwa ein Drittel) für neun Monate in Fässern gereift wird, was zu einer komplexen Aromatik und zusätzlicher Rundheit führt.

Die Appellation Pic Saint Loup, gelegen nördlich von Montpellier an den Ausläufern der Cevennen, zählt zu den prestigeträchtigsten Weinbaugebieten des Languedoc-Roussillon. Die kalkhaltigen Böden und das mediterrane Klima mit kontinentalen Einflüssen schaffen ideale Bedingungen für den Weinbau.
