Der Kanonkop Paul Sauer 2019 ist ein erstklassiger südafrikanischer Rotwein aus Stellenbosch, der sich durch seine tief rubinrote Farbe auszeichnet. In der Nase entfaltet er ein komplexes Bouquet mit Noten von Muskat, Zedernholz sowie roten und schwarzen Früchten. Am Gaumen präsentiert er sich kraftvoll mit Aromen von Rumtopf und gedörrten Früchten, unterstützt von feinkörnigem Tannin und einem langen Nougat-Finale.

Dieser Wein ist eine klassische Bordeaux-Cuvée, bestehend aus 75 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 14 % Cabernet Franc und 11 % Merlot. Die Rebsorten verleihen ihm Tiefe, Komplexität und ein bemerkenswertes Reifepotenzial. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die 24-monatige Reifung in neuen französischen Eichenfässern, die dem Wein zusätzliche Komplexität und Eleganz verleiht.

Das Weingut Kanonkop liegt an den Hängen des Simonsbergs in Stellenbosch und ist bekannt für seine erstklassigen Rotweine. Unter der Leitung von Kellermeister Abrie Beeslaar, der seit über zwei Jahrzehnten für Kanonkop tätig ist, hat das Weingut zahlreiche internationale Auszeichnungen erhalten.
