In the heart of Tuscan Maremma, just a few kilometers from Castiglione della Pescaia, are the 170 hectares of vineyards of Fattoria Le Mortelle, owned by Marchesi Antinori. The property is located in a small amphitheatre, on soil rich in clay, sand and rubble, key elements for growing varieties such as Cabernet and Carmenère. The fusion of these grape varieties results in Poggio alle Nane, a profound and dynamic red wine with great aromatic complexity.
Its intense ruby red color enchants the senses, while the aromas of ripe fruits such as currants and blackberries, accompanied by coffee, sweet paprika and licorice, bewitch the nose. A touch of lavender and Mediterranean herbs completes the olfactory experience. On the palate, it is rich, enveloping, powerful and at the same time elegant, with dense but velvety tannins and a precise, clean saltiness. Its long finish is characterized by notes of tobacco and blueberry chocolate.
