The Chardonnay DOC Selva della Tesa 2019 from Ca' Del Bosco is a remarkable wine that impresses with its outstanding quality and special care in the vineyard and cellar. This wine has a brilliant straw yellow colour. The scent unfolds a complex bouquet of ripe citrus fruits, tropical fruits and fine floral notes, complemented by subtle notes of vanilla and roasted almonds. On the palate, it is full-bodied and elegant, with well-integrated acidity and a long,
mineral finish.This wine is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, which come from eight certified organic vineyards. These vineyards are located in the municipalities of Erbusco, Passirano and Provaglio d'Iseo and have an average age of 35 years. The grapes are carefully picked by hand, washed and dried individually before being fermented in small oak barrels. The wine then ages in the bottle for an average of 3 years and 6 months, which contributes to its remarkable complexity and maturity
.The use of the “Metodo Ca' del Bosco”, which includes a minimal use of sulfur dioxide and careful processing of the grapes, is typical of this wine and the Franciacorta wine-growing zone. The climate in Franciacorta is mild and continental, with sufficient rainfall and well-ventilated soils, which offer ideal conditions for growing Chardonnay.
The 2019 vintage was particularly favourable as the winter was mild and rainfall was low, resulting in perfectly ripened grapes.
