Der Chablis Premier Cru Fourchaume 2023 vom Domaine Bernard Defaix präsentiert sich in einem klaren, hellen Gelb. In der Nase entfaltet er Aromen von weißen Früchten wie Birne und frischen Mandeln, begleitet von subtilen Vanillenoten und einem Hauch von Zitrusfrüchten, insbesondere Grapefruit. Am Gaumen zeigt sich der Wein mit einer schönen Frische, wobei die Zitrusaromen dominieren und von einer feinen Mineralität unterstützt werden. Die ausgewogene Säure verleiht ihm Lebendigkeit und einen anhaltenden Abgang.

Dieser Wein wird zu 100 % aus der Rebsorte Chardonnay hergestellt, die für Chablis typisch ist. Chardonnay aus dieser Region zeichnet sich durch seine Mineralität und Frische aus, oft begleitet von Zitrus- und grünen Apfelaromen. Der Jahrgang 2023 in Chablis wird als qualitativ hochwertig und reichlich beschrieben, was auf günstige Wetterbedingungen während der Vegetationsperiode zurückzuführen ist.

Das Chablis-Gebiet liegt im nördlichen Burgund und ist bekannt für seine kalkhaltigen Böden, die den Weinen ihre charakteristische Mineralität verleihen.
