The Cabernet Riserva DOC Staffes 2021 from Weingut Kornell is an impressive Cabernet Sauvignon that brings out the typical characteristics of this grape variety to perfection. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, which grow on a south-west facing slope in Siebeneich at an altitude of 270 meters, this wine is characterized by its

intense fruitiness and elegant richness.

This wine has a dense ruby red. On the nose, intense fruit aromas of blueberries, blackberries and cassis develop, accompanied by spicy notes such as pepper, juniper and laurel as well as light roasted aromas. On the palate, Staffes Cabernet has a complex structure, pleasant fullness and grippy tannins that

result in a long-lasting finish.

The special feature of the Cabernet Riserva DOC staff lies in its maturing process. The wine is first aged in barriques for 12 months and then in the bottle for a further 12 months. The “Riserva” status means that the wine has undergone a longer period of aging, giving it additional depth and complexity

The Kornell 2021 Alto Adige Sauvignon Blanc Oberberg shows floral and tropical tones with pungent tomato leaf on first nose. The fruit aromas are on the ripe side, generally, with papaya, persimmon and kumquat, all followed by a light hint of pastry cream. Aged in steel tanks for 18 months, the wine packs medium freshness, and there is enough acidity for immediate drinking. Production is 6,000 bottles.
