The Riesling DOC Glacier Cut Castel Juval 2024, produced by the talented winemakers of the Unterortl winery, is a brilliant example of South Tyrolean precision and elegance. The grapes for this wine come from the Juval Riesling vineyards and from three other vineyards on the Vinschgau Sonnenberg. These locations are characterized by weathered soil and a special microclimate characterized by high daytime temperatures and significant nighttime cooling. This climate favors the development of grapes with intense, crystal-clear aromas.

The Riesling grapes, especially from younger vines, make for a wine that impresses with its crystalline structure and elegance. The wine is processed using modern techniques, with the skins remaining with the juice for a certain period of time before pressing in order to extract character-building ingredients. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks under moderate cooling to preserve the characteristic layered character of the wine, followed by storage on fine yeast until just before bottling.

D er Riesling DOC Gletscherschliff is a wine with a delicate scent of white peach and grapefruit, which has a juicy, salty note on the palate. It is particularly recommended as an aperitif or with light fish dishes and offers great drinking pleasure, whether enjoyed young or after one to two years of aging in the bottle. This wine is a true experience for connoisseurs and lovers of elegant, racy Rieslings.
