The Pinot Noir Riserva DOC Abbey 2022 from the MURI-GRIES monastery winery is an excellent red wine that perfectly represents the elegance and character of South Tyrol. With a strong, fresh ruby red, the wine shines in the glass, which immediately makes it appear inviting. The nose is pampered by ripe fruit aromas such as cherries and plum jam, complemented by fine spicy notes, a hint of walnut and well-integrated wood notes that come from
aging in oak barrels.
On the palate, this Pinot Noir impresses with an elegant structure and soft, warm tannins, which give it a smooth texture. Despite its filigree and mineral nuances, the wine offers a powerful and long-lasting finish that underlines its complexity and balance. The Pinot Noir grape variety, known for its sophisticated cultivation, thrives in the climatic conditions of South Tyrol, where warm days and cool nights promote the development of intense aromas and lively acidity.
