The Lagrein Riserva DOC Taber from 2022, produced by the Bolzano winery, is a wine full of character that seduces the senses. Its deep purple color, paired with an intense scent of dark berries, black cherry and a touch of spice, makes you look forward to the first sip. The taste is a complex mix of juicy dark fruits, accompanied by fine tannins and a pleasant acidity, which gives the wine structure.
The Lagrein grape variety, known for its robustness and characteristic aromas, dominates this wine. The Taber comes from a vineyard that is located on calcareous soil and is sustainably cultivated, which underlines its unique character. Careful aging in oak barrels allows the wine to develop its full complexity and finesse before being bottled as a riserva. The special feature of this wine lies in its expressiveness and its storage potential. Its elegant structure and perfect balance make it an ideal accompaniment to hearty meat dishes or aged cheese.

The 2021 Alto Adige Lagrein Riserva Taber opens to plummy and very ripe aromas of blackberry confit, pitted prunes and a savory tone of suede or new leather. Lagrein usually has a pronounced creamy side, and you feel that here, especially in terms of the wine's thick texture and soft tannins. This 2021 vintage is thickly extracted and dense. Production is 12,000 bottles.
