The Lagrein Riserva DOC Gries 2021 from the Nals Margreid winery has an intense ruby red in the glass. Its bouquet is characterized by seductive aromas of dark berries such as blackberries and black cherries, accompanied by subtle nuances of violets and a touch of spices such as black pepper. On the palate, this wine unfolds with impressive richness and complexity. Juicy fruit aromas combine with spicy notes and a touch of dark chocolate, while the well-integrated tannins give a pleasant structure.

The main grape variety in this wine is Lagrein, an autochthonous grape variety of South Tyrol known for its deep dark color and strong aromas. The special feature of this wine lies in its origin from the renowned Grieser vineyard and its maturity as a riserva, which indicates careful vinification and prolonged aging. The Nals Margreid winery, one of the leading wineries in South Tyrol, is characterized by its many years of experience and commitment to quality wines. The grapes for this Lagrein Riserva are harvested by hand and carefully selected.

After fermentation, the wine ages in wooden barrels for at least 18 months before being bottled. This aging process gives the wine its complex structure and harmonious balance. Renowned wine critics have praised this Lagrein Riserva for its outstanding quality, underlining its position as one of the best wines in the region.
