This Sauvignon IGT Pfaffenegg from the Josmoar winery, vintage 2021, embodies the unmistakable quality and tradition of the family business. It has a vivid straw-yellow colour in the glass. Its bouquet exudes intense aromas of gooseberries, grapefruits and fresh herbs, which are accompanied by a touch of tropical fruit. On the palate, this wine delights with its lively acidity and a full body, which is accompanied by mineral notes and a subtle grassiness. The grapes were carefully aged by hand, vinifying the grapes in stainless steel tanks to preserve their freshness and fruitiness.
The special feature of this wine lies in its elegant balance between freshness and complexity, which makes it an ideal companion for Mediterranean cuisine. Weingut Josmoar, a family-run business, is nestled in the picturesque vineyards of South Tyrol and is run by Helmut Tonner and his son Sebastian. Her passion for viticulture is reflected in the quality of her produce. The vineyards are located at the foot of the Sonnenberg near Castelbello, where the unique microclimate and mineral-rich soils offer ideal conditions for growing Sauvignon.
