The Extra Brut Riserva DOP 2017 from Arunda is an exquisite sparkling wine from South Tyrol. It is bright straw yellow with fine, persistent perlage. The scent is complex and multi-layered: floral notes mix with fine yeast pastries, citrus fruits and a touch of smoke and tobacco. On the palate, the wine is dry and elegant, with a lively acidity that is complemented by nutty, slightly buttery and smoky aromas. A long, salty aftertaste completes the taste experience.
The Extra Brut Riserva 2017 consists of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. Chardonnay brings freshness and floral notes, while Pinot Noir provides structure and complexity. Both grape varieties complement each other perfectly and give the wine its balance and depth.
The special feature of this wine lies in its long aging period, at least 36 months, which gives it a special finesse and a fine mousseux. As a Riserva, it is only produced in the best years and under the strictest quality criteria, which makes it a top product from the Arunda sparkling wine cellar.
