Der Grüner Veltliner Ried Steinertal DAC 2022 vom Weingut F.X. Pichler präsentiert sich in einem hellen Grüngelb mit Silberreflexen. In der Nase entfaltet er zarte Aromen von gelben Tropenfrüchten wie Mango und Papaya, begleitet von frischen Wiesenkräutern und einem Hauch von Limette. Am Gaumen zeigt er sich saftig und elegant mit Noten von feinem Steinobst, einer gut integrierten Säure und einer mineralischen, seidigen Textur. Der Wein weist eine gute Länge auf und ist bereits harmonisch und trinkreif, verfügt jedoch auch über ein sicheres Reifepotenzial.

Die Rebsorte Grüner Veltliner ist bekannt für ihr würziges Bukett mit Noten von Kräutern und weißem Pfeffer. Typisch für diesen Wein sind die Eleganz und die feine Mineralität, die durch die spezifische Lage im Steinertal geprägt werden.

Die Ried Steinertal liegt am östlichen Ende der Wachau, eingebettet zwischen dem Loibenberg und dem Pfaffenberg. Die nach Südwesten ausgerichtete Lage erhält abends noch Wärme, die nachts von kühleren Luftströmen aus dem Norden durchbrochen wird, was die Aromabildung fördert. Der Boden bringt eine profunde Mineralik mit sich, die sich im Wein widerspiegelt.
