Der Château d'Yquem 2019 ist ein Paradebeispiel für die Exzellenz der Sauternes-Weine und der einzige Wein mit der Klassifizierung Premier Cru Classé Supérieur. Dieser Jahrgang präsentiert sich in einem leuchtenden Goldgelb, das seine Tiefe und Eleganz unterstreicht. Die Aromen sind intensiv und komplex, mit Noten von getrockneten Aprikosen, Zitrusfrüchten wie Pomelo und Mandarine sowie Honig und Safran – ein deutliches Zeichen der Edelfäule (Botrytis). Am Gaumen offenbart der Wein eine außergewöhnliche Balance zwischen reicher Süße und lebendiger Säure. Tropische Früchte, Zitrus und eine feine Mineralität führen zu einem langen, harmonischen Abgang.

Die Cuvée besteht aus 75 % Sémillon und 25 % Sauvignon Blanc. Sémillon bringt Fülle und Honignoten, während Sauvignon Blanc Frische und Lebendigkeit beiträgt. Der Jahrgang 2019 profitierte von idealen Wetterbedingungen für die Entwicklung der Edelfäule, was zu einer außergewöhnlichen Konzentration führte. Château d'Yquem, mit einer Geschichte, die bis ins 16. Jahrhundert zurückreicht, bleibt ein Symbol für höchste Qualität in der Weinwelt.
