Cabernet Alzero IGP
The Cabernet Alzero IGP 2016 from Quintarelli is an exceptional wine that not only impresses with its deep ruby red color, but also with its impressive complexity. On the nose, it develops an intense bouquet of blackcurrants, cherries and plums, complemented by spicy notes of pepper, tobacco and dark chocolate. On the palate, it is powerful and dense, with soft tannins, lively acidity and a long, elegant finish.
This outstanding 2016 vintage is made from 40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot. Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon give the wine its intense fruitiness and structure, while Merlot gives it its softness and fullness. This blend of grape varieties provides a complex
and harmonious taste experience.A special feature of Cabernet Alzero is the Appassimento process, in which the grapes are dried for several months after harvesting to concentrate the aromas. This gives the wine its unique depth and intensity. After drying, fermentation takes place and the wine is then aged for two to three years in French barriques and four more years in Slavonian oak barrels. This long aging process provides additional complexity and elegance.
The 2016 vintage is considered particularly successful and is appreciated by experts and collectors alike.
