Lagrein Lakrez BIO 2020 from Reyter is an outstanding red wine known for its intense, dark salmon tint, an unusually dark color that is reminiscent of a rosé but is clearly a red wine in depth and intensity. The wine achieves this particular color by gently pressing the Lagrein grapes, a method that highlights the characteristic characteristics of the grape without extracting the tannins excessively.

Aromatically, Lakrez offers a range of ripe red berries and distinct licorice notes. On the palate, the wine is mildly spicy, with well-integrated and balanced acidity, which ends in a long, fruity finish. This biodynamic wine reflects the strict ecological and biodynamic farming methods that have been practiced at the Reyter winery since 1996.

The vines grow on sandy-loamy, porphyry alluvial soils in the Bolzano basin landscape, which, together with the careful care of the vines, some of which are over 80 years old and are grown on pergolas and trellises, results in a wine that impressively reflects the depth and complexity of the terroir. Lakrez BIO 2020 is an example of the Reyter winery's ability to produce high-quality wines that reflect both the local terroir and the passion for sustainable viticulture.
