.The Paleo 2019 is presented in a sparkling ruby violet with a slightly brightening edge. On the nose, there are distinct spicy notes of white pepper, oregano and thyme, followed by aromas of raspberries and cassis. On the palate, it impresses with an abundance of sweet, dark-berry fruit, accompanied by gripping, robust tannin and a fine, sweet melt. The long finish is supported by firm pressure and an elegant structure.
This wine is characterized by its exceptional complexity and depth, which sets it apart from other Cabernet Francs. The vines grow on a 5.5 hectare vineyard that stretches from 37 to 70 meters above sea level. The soils, a mix of clay, sand, silt, stone and limestone, contribute to the wine's unique minerality.
Critics praise the 2019 vintage of Paleo, with Robert Parker's Wine Advocate awarding it 98 points and describing it as “extremely precise and etched.” Compared to the 2018 vintage, which was also highly rated, the 2019 has a somewhat more compact structure and a linear aroma profile, which impresses with its fresh and mineral notes
