The Sauvignon IGT Schalenstein 2022 by Luis Oberrauch impresses with a strong straw-yellow color. On the nose, it develops a rich bouquet of tropical fruits, gooseberries and elderflower, complemented by subtle notes of buttery vanilla. On the palate, it is juicy and structured, with lively acidity and persistent minerality.
This wine consists of 100% Sauvignon Blanc, which is particularly appreciated in the Trentino-South Tyrol region due to its expressive aroma and fresh acidity. Sauvignon Blanc is known for its characteristic aromas of green fruits and herbs as well as its crunchy acidity, which gives this wine a special freshness and liveliness.
The
mineral soils and the alpine microclimate, which give the wines a particular finesse and depth, are typical of Sauvignon Schalenstein and the wine-growing region of South Tyrol. The Schalenstein location in Kurtatsch at an altitude of 550 meters offers ideal conditions for growing this grape variety, which is reflected in the outstanding quality of this wine.
