The Cuvée Vino Rosso Leggero 2024 from Weingut Pranzegg is a light, lively red wine made from the Vernatsch (Schiava) and Lagrein grape varieties. This wine shows a bright ruby red color in the glass. The scent unfolds a bouquet of wild strawberries and cherries, complemented by floral notes of rose petals. On the palate, Vino Rosso Leggero is fresh and dry, with an invigorating acidity and a delicate, fruity finish reminiscent of fresh raspberries.
The Vernatsch and Lagrein grape varieties are autochthonous grapes from South Tyrol. Vernatsch brings light, fruity aromas and fine acidity, while Lagrein provides deep, dark fruit notes and a robust structure. This combination results in a harmonious and versatile wine that is both light and full of character. “Leggero” is the Italian word for “easy.” For wine, this means that it has a light, fresh and accessible style.
