The Moscato d'Asti DOCG Nivole 2024 by Michele Chiarlo is an excellent dessert wine made from 100% Moscato Bianco grapes. These grapes, which grow in the historic growing areas around Canelli in Piedmont, are known for their aromatic intensity and natural sweetness.
Its brilliant straw-yellow color is typical of this wine. The bouquet is floral and fruity, with distinct notes of peach and apricot, which reflect the typical character of Moscato. On the palate, the wine is creamy and fragrant, with a fine perlage and a particularly fresh, pleasant finish.
A special feature of Moscato d'Asti Nivole is its production. After manual harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed and the must is stored at -2°C. The slow fermentation takes place in autoclaves at a controlled temperature until an alcohol content of 5% is reached. As a result, some of the carbon dioxide produced during fermentation remains in the wine, which gives it its natural, light liveliness.
