The Cabernet Sauvignon DOC Wellenburg BIO 2020 from Baron Longo is an organic red wine from South Tyrol that combines the elegance of Cabernet Sauvignon with the strength of Merlot. The grapes are sourced from the estate's own vineyards in the Bassa Atesina and are cultivated according to biodynamic principles. The wine matures for 20 months in French oak barriques and then in the bottle, gaining depth and complexity. In the glass, it displays a bright ruby red color. The bouquet reveals aromas of ripe cranberries, wild strawberries, rosehip, and a hint of citrus. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, juicy, and floral, with well-integrated fruit and acidity. With an alcohol content of 13.5 %, it pairs perfectly with lamb dishes, beef, or aged cheeses. The 2020 vintage was awarded 93 points by Falstaff.

FS/93/100
Delicately shimmering straw yellow with golden yellow reflections. Subtle aromas of white peaches, apricots, linden blossoms, roasted almonds and golden brown toast. Hits the palate powerfully, shows fine creaminess, spreads pleasantly, lots of draft, supported by juicy acidity, a harmonious finish.
