Baglio di Pianetto, founded by Count Paolo Marzotto, is located near Santa Cristina Gela, south of Palermo, and is one of Sicily’s leading organic wineries. With 160 hectares of vineyards divided between the cool hills of Palermo and the warm climate near Noto, the estate produces expressive wines that reflect the diversity of Sicilian terroir. This dual vineyard strategy allows the cultivation of both native varieties like Nero d’Avola, Insolia, and Grillo, and international grapes such as Viognier, Syrah, and Merlot. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel or French oak, always with great care. The winery follows certified organic farming, emphasizing purity and balance. Baglio di Pianetto stands for innovation, sustainability and authenticity – producing wines that combine tradition with a modern, elegant style.
