The Lagrein Zobl 2021 from St. Pauls Winery is a bold and expressive red wine made from 100% Lagrein, a native variety of South Tyrol. In the glass, it displays a deep ruby red color with violet hues. The bouquet is intense, with notes of ripe black cherry, blackberry, and plum, enriched by roasted aromas, dark chocolate, and gentle spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet balanced, with velvety tannins, integrated acidity, and elegant depth. Maturation in large oak barrels enhances structure and finesse. Excellent with game, braised dishes, beef, or aged hard cheeses.
