The Skythos Red 2017 from Ansitz Dolomytos Sacker is a powerful red blend (60% Pinot Noir, the rest from various grape varieties, some of Greek origin). Aged after spontaneous fermentation in handcrafted 150-liter barrels (“Cigarillos”) for two years and further matured in bottle, this wine shows structured intensity and depth.
It appears as slightly cloudy ruby red with bluish-purple reflections. The nose reveals a complex bouquet of cherry, dark berries, cedarwood and cocoa. On the palate, it is spicy, firm and tannic, with elegant acidity, a subtle note of licorice and fine fruit depth. Refined elegance meets alpine freshness – a red wine full of character, layered and expressive.
