The Sauvignon DOC “Renaissance” Riserva 2021 from Gumphof is a premium Sauvignon Blanc produced only in outstanding vintages from vineyards on limestone moraine soils at around 500 m elevation. As a Riserva, it's aged 12 months in large wooden casks and one year on fine lees in stainless steel, providing depth and refined character. In the glass it shows a pale straw-yellow hue with light green highlights. The bouquet reveals green apple, sage and thyme, citrus blossom and floral undertones, supported by subtle mineral salinity. On the palate, crisp acidity, juicy fruit and precise structure are highlighted. Dry, well-balanced and finishing with a long and saline-driven conclusion—a distinguished expression of Alto Adige Sauvignon Blanc.
