The Flaccianello della Pieve 2021 by Fontodi is an iconic single-varietal Sangiovese from the heart of Tuscany, specifically from the renowned Chianti Classico area in Panzano in Chianti. This exceptional wine is produced according to strict organic standards and is consistently ranked among the finest wines in Italy.
The Sangiovese grapes come exclusively from the estate’s top vineyard sites, known for a sustainable, nature-respecting philosophy and meticulous craftsmanship. The vines grow on galestro-rich soils at ideal elevations, resulting in excellent ripeness and remarkable complexity.
Aged for over 18 months in French barriques, the wine develops outstanding structure, depth, and great aging potential. Even in its youth, Flaccianello impresses with balance, elegance, and expressiveness – a benchmark for modern, top-tier organic Sangiovese from Tuscany.
