The Gewürztraminer DOC “Praesulis” 2023 from Gumphof is a pure Gewürztraminer from Alto Adige, grown on limestone moraine soils at 400–500 m elevation. Fermented in stainless steel and aged for around ten months on fine lees, it showcases a refined aroma profile with mineral undertones.
In the glass, it shows a bright straw-yellow color with golden highlights. The bouquet offers an intense floral aroma of white rose petals, lychee, white peach, and light spicy notes of clove and citrus. On the palate, it is flavorful yet smooth and elegant, featuring gentle acidity, balanced texture and a persistent mineral finish—never heavy or overly sweet. A refined Gewürztraminer ideal as an aperitif or with spicy dishes such as Thai shrimp curry or aromatic chicken.
