Manni Nössing: Weinbergstraße 66, 39042 Brixen, Südtirol (IT)
The 2023 Manni Nössing Veltliner DOC displays a bright golden-yellow color with greenish reflections. Its bouquet is complex and varietal, featuring fruity notes of medlar complemented by pleasant mineral hints. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and rich, with refreshing acidity and a smooth texture, finishing with a fruity aftertaste. The Grüner Veltliner grape is renowned for its lively acidity and characteristic peppery and spicy notes, which give this wine its typical spiciness. A distinctive feature of this wine is its partial aging in acacia barrels, adding structure and body without compromising freshness. The vineyards are located in the Eisack Valley near Brixen, on sandy and granite-rich soils that impart a mineral character to the wine.
