The Gewürztraminer DOC 2024 from Castel Sallegg is an aromatic and elegant white wine that captures the varietal character of Gewürztraminer with refined clarity. The grapes are grown on well-ventilated, humus-rich clay soils over calcareous gravel near Caldaro. After gentle cold maceration and pressing, the wine matures on fine lees in stainless steel. In the glass, it displays a pale golden hue, and unfolds a multilayered bouquet with spicy-floral aromas and a fruity sweetness. On the palate, it is fresh, elegant, and complexly aromatic, beautifully balanced. Ideal as an aperitif or paired with crustaceans, sushi, curries, grilled fish or meat, and refined desserts.
