The St. Magdalener Klassik DOC 2024 from Pfannenstielhof is a fascinating red wine that consists of around 95% Vernatsch and 5% Lagrein. This attractive wine is bright ruby red and impresses with its fine harmony between distinctive fruit, mild acidity and velvety tannins.
The grapes for this wine grow in the classic St. Magdalener growing zone in South Tyrol, at an altitude of around 280 meters. The growing area benefits from loose moraine soils, which are rich in quartz porphyry and dolomite.
The vines are traditionally grown in a pergel system, which creates optimal ripening conditions for the grapes. These special soils and the favourable climate with warm days and cool nights contribute significantly to the development of the wine's fruity aromas and elegant structure.
The St. Magdalener Classic DOC 2024 is characterized by a fruity bouquet with aromas of red cherries and raspberries as well as floral notes of violets and roses. On the palate, it is full-bodied, soft and well-balanced.
