Krug Grande Cuvée 172ème Édition is a masterpiece of Champagne, distinguished by its complexity and elegance. With a bright golden colour and fine, delicate mousse, this Champagne makes a striking impression. On the nose, it reveals a multi-layered bouquet with notes of orange zest, yellow apple, mirabelle plum, and a fine smoky herbal spice. The palate is textured, showing flavours of white peach and a hint of nashi pear, supported by a vibrant acidity and a subtle touch of lime.

The finish is delicately saline and long-lasting, making it a perfectly balanced gastronomic companion. The cuvée is composed of 45% Pinot Noir, 37% Chardonnay, and 18% Meunier, with 42% reserve wines. A total of 131 wines from 12 different years, from 2000 to 2015, were blended for this composition. Seven years of ageing in Krug’s cellars endow this Champagne with remarkable depth and finesse.
