The Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva DOC “Marmot” 2021 from Griesbauerhof shines with deep ruby red and brilliant reflections, already promising elegance in the glass. On the nose it unfolds a complex bouquet of ripe black plum, blackcurrant and dark berries, complemented by notes of bell pepper, tobacco and a subtle smokiness. On the palate, it is powerful and structured, driven by concentrated fruit, firm yet well-integrated tannins and a lively freshness that leads into a long, harmonious finish. The Cabernet Sauvignon grape is renowned for its depth, structure and outstanding ageing potential – qualities that are perfectly expressed here. As a Riserva, the “Marmot” undergoes extended maturation, gaining additional complexity, elegance and depth over time.
