Nebbiolo Langhe DOC Occhetti - 2023 is a fascinating wine that perfectly captures the elegance and complexity of the Nebbiolo grape variety. Its color is a vivid ruby red with garnet reflections that sparkles in the glass and appeals to the senses. On the nose, it develops an intense bouquet of red fruits such as cherries and raspberries, accompanied by floral notes of violets and roses as well as spicy nuances of licorice and tobacco.
On the palate, this wine presents a harmonious balance between power and finesse. Its ripe tannins and lively acidity give it structure and longevity, while the fruity and spicy aromas provide a long-lasting and complex finish. The main grape variety in this wine is Nebbiolo, which is known for its distinctive features of finesse,
elegance and aging potential.
The peculiarity of this wine lies in its origin from the Occhetti vineyards in the Langhe area, which are known for their unique terroir characteristics and ideal conditions for growing Nebbiolo grapes. The renowned Prunotto winery, part of the prestigious Antinori family, produces this wine with the highest level of craftsmanship and commitment to quality and tradition. The Nebbiolo Langhe DOC Occhetti undergoes a maturation process of at least 12 months in oak barrels, followed by further refinement in the bottle to improve its aromatic complexity and structure. The quality of this wine is regularly praised by renowned wine critics, who regard it as an outstanding example of a Nebbiolo from the Langhe region.
