The Château La Conseillante 2021 is an outstanding Pomerol that perfectly reflects the elegance and finesse of this renowned estate. In the glass, it shows a deep ruby hue with violet highlights. The bouquet is seductive, offering aromas of blackcurrants, blackberries, and violets, supported by subtle hints of lavender, mint, and delicate spices. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with silky, finely structured tannins and a striking freshness. The balance between juicy fruit and refined spice leads to a long, elegant finish.

The 2021 vintage is marked by vibrant acidity and a certain delicacy that lend the wine its distinctive refinement. The blend is composed of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, grown on Pomerol’s characteristic gravel and clay soils. The wine was aged for 16 months in French oak—70% new, 27% second-fill, and 3% in amphorae—enhancing its depth and complexity. Château La Conseillante, under the direction of Marielle Cazaux, celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2021 and remains one of Pomerol’s finest producers, known for wines of great finesse and aromatic complexity.
