The d'Alceo IGT of the 2020 vintage is a wine of exceptional quality and refinement that seduces the senses with its beguiling bouquet, deep color and complex flavor profile. On the nose, it develops a seductive bouquet of dark berries, cherries, violets and spices, accompanied by subtle hints of chocolate and tobacco. On the palate, this wine is full-bodied and supple, with silky tannins and lively acidity that underline its remarkable structure.
The main grape varieties in this wine are Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, which form a perfect harmony. The Cabernet Sauvignon gives the wine strength, richness and intense fruit aromas, while the Petit Verdot gives it color, tannin structure and complex aromas of dark fruits and spices. The Mediterranean climate with warm, sunny days and cool nights as well as the rich vegetation, which offers ideal conditions for viticulture, are typical of this wine and the wine-growing zone. The soils are characterized by limestone and clay, which gives the wines a remarkable minerality and complexity.

This is a classic beauty. The 2019 d'Alceo, made with 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Petit Verdot, is dark and enriched, but magically, it is never heavy or bulky. It carries its weight with feather-like grace backed by dry tannins and lovely fruit layering. There is blackcurrant, cherry, blackberry liqueur, exotic spice, black rose and crushed stone. That mineral note stands out like a filigree of shiny silver stitched through the wine's rich, velvety texture. Production is 13,749 bottles and 200 magnums.
Impenetrable, rich ruby purple. Opens with appealing notes of cassis and blackberries, plus some smoke and mint. Grippy tannin, finely meshed at the core, opens in many layers, dark berry fruit, needs a few more years.
