The Domaine Fouassier Sancerre Blanc “Les Romains” 2020 shows a crystal-clear, faintly green-tinged white colour in the glass — typical for an elegant Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire. On the nose it reveals lively, layered aromas of ripe citrus, white peach and subtle floral hints, underpinned by a delicate mineral, almost stony undertone. On the palate freshness meets dense, juicy fruit: lime, grapefruit and gooseberry emerge clearly, complemented by defined minerality and a crisp, structured acidity. The finish is vivid and dynamic, with a slightly tonic, gently astringent texture — overall elegant, fresh and pure, with a pleasant persistence and vibrant fruit character. Ideal with seafood, fish dishes or light appetizers; serve chilled at about 12–14 °C.
